GAMEGUIDEDOG says: YEAH!! Like this is almost as much fun as actually being stranded on an island, um, but with some other folks who brought a bunch of props along with them for some oddball entertainment.
Are you looking forward to spending some time with your Sims on a cruise ship surrounded with all affordable luxury or staying in a holiday resort on a tropical island? Well if you are.... then Sims Castaway is NOT the game you're looking for. Literally, one of the worst Sims scenarios up to date, but what would a Sim do if it wasn't for you? In previous roles we already taught the Sim how to manage a hotel in Sims 2 and how to threat a pet in the Sims 2 Pets, thus helping a deserted Sim shouldn't be a problem. Or am I mistaken?
How clumsy can a girl be? While waving, my female Sim loses her balance and falls right into a box aboard a freight ship. She's trapped in the crate and not able to get out. There's nothing to eat or drink; an unpleasant experience which even gets worse when the bad weather pushes the crate into the sea. Bad luck seems to be changing as the crate is opened while being smashed from the ship and she can get out. Luckily she knows how to swim and makes it to that lovely island. But is it a trip of a lifetime or is it a plain nightmare?
As you're responsible for the created Sim, it's important to make its life as easy as can be, but on a deserted island, that's easier said than done. A helpful tool to stay on top of your Sim's personal situation is to keep an eye on the six motive bars which are displayed at the top of the upper-screen. Each motive bar reflects the feelings of the Sim regarding hunger, energy, social, comfort, hygiene and bladder. An indication that your Sim is doing well is when the bars are mainly green, partly yellow. If it is turning red and starts flashing, your Sim is in danger and urgently requires your help! For example the hunger bar indicates that your Sim is going to collapse if you don't give her any food. After she ate something the bar and your Sim will recover. Whenever you're too late reacting to your Sim's needs, she will collapse and while she's recovering in her shelter, bad monkeys will steal items from her inventory which could be useful for future builds.
Check out this SIMS 2 video, well it's not a clip from Sims 2 Castaway, but we felt instead of boring ya'll, this might spark your interest a bit more. Share it with all your friends!! Whoo hooo!!!! lol!
